Practiced drawing his head before I start doing another character sketch for him. I softened his features because he looked like an old man here and I will never be satisfied until it has been changed to something completely acceptable, LOL.

 

I took elements from his version 1 character sheet. His old design is still cringe-worthy but one thing that I really loved about it is his hair. It never really changed from the time I first designed him. It made my life easier despite the fact that I despise drawing his hair, LOL. I guess it pays that I didn’t include the old character sheets in my “To-Burn List”. XD

 

As for the rest of the finished character sheets, I can’t really work on them right now(except for the pencils). Life at college still hasn’t settled down. Just this week, our carefully planned schedules got stepped on, thrown in a blender, and turned into a bloody mush. Although we all emerged victorious by the end of the week, one thought will remain forever etched in our heads: We hate the registrar’s office.

 

I’ll never be able to finish anything //sob. ಥ_ಥ

Praise Jeebus, I finally finished this. I started doing this sketch last October and never got around to cleaning it until now:

Clynne Azul. Out of the four leaders, she’s the one who held her position the longest, with her leadership dating back even before the Crimson War (and that’s so many years ago, just so you know). She’s calm, assertive, and values honor and tradition above anything else especially in matters relating to running her guild. She’s never going to back down if you touch her guild so back off before she cuts you. :D

 

And kids, please don’t imitate the way she held her weapon. She’s not afraid to hold it that way because there are things more worthy to be feared than her own weapon. Unless, of course, you guys have masochistic tendencies or want to bleed yourselves to death.

Nothing really changed in her design except for the clothes and the sword (which I turned into a huge-ass one because it’ll be awesome). I kept the original name I used for her in the original False Awakening (except for the surname). She’s a relatively minor character just like the other guild leaders but that may change once I start polishing the story. Although I can’t really give them a much bigger role because LOL, THEY’RE GOING TO GOD-MOD THE WHOLE STORY AND THE PLOT WOULD DEFINITELY TURN TO DUST.

 

Also, this is random but I saw this in my other Gmail account yesterday:

 

 

LOLOLOL, IT DOESN’T LOOK LEGIT AT ALL. Come on, if you’re going to scam people, at least make it believable by using high-res version of the Gmail logo and making the design presentable.

I tried to finish this sketch last week but the character’s pose just refused to cooperate with the artist. Bitch :|. I had to do several trial sketches before arriving at the final pose. Here, take a look at how much I fail at anatomy:

 

 

And here’s the FINAL_FINAL_FINALISWEAR rough drawing I did this afternoon and I have no idea what to do with the huge space below the character (which you will never see because I have excellent cropping skills). I’ll probably draw a forest background but that may change depending on the level of my productiveness. LOL.

 

 

On another note: Yesterday, I looked through the old drafts I wrote for False Awakening, starting from the time I revised the story in 2008 (when everything looked fugly and ugly and was just begging to be burned) and behold, I still have a lot of things to do if I were to polish the story again (which I will definitely do after I finish working on the character designs). I think I need to devise a way so I won’t forget important details about the story. Something with post-its, probably?

 

… sometimes I just really want to slam my head on a nearby wall.
